Former Edmonton Oil Kings head coach Luke Pierce will serve as the CSSHL Manager of Western Operations while Charlottetown Islanders Quebec Head Scout Kevin Hill takes on the role of Eastern Operations Coordinator.
“The addition of Luke and Kevin in the Hockey Operations of the Western and Eastern Divisions shows the commitment to improving and developing the leagues hockey operations as both of these individuals come with extensive hockey backgrounds and will be major assets to our league,” added CSSHL Chief Executive Officer, Andy Oakes. “Both Pierce and Hill will add to the depth and expertise of our league as we continue our national expansion and growth.”
Luke Pierce, Manager of Western Operations will oversee strategic and operational initiatives that support the continued growth and excellence of education-based hockey in Western Canada. He works closely with teams, administrators, and league stakeholders to ensure alignment with the highest standards of performance and development. Pierce is a seasoned coach and hockey executive with over 16 years of experience managing and coaching Junior hockey. Luke has spent the past 10 years coaching in the WHL, most recently as the Head Coach of the Edmonton Oil Kings.
Kevin Hill, Eastern Operations Coordinator will oversee the successful planning, growth, and execution of league activities across Eastern Canada. Hill is well-regarded for his extensive scouting experience and leadership across QMJHL and Junior A programs. He currently serves as Quebec Head Scout for the Charlottetown Islanders (QMJHL), after previous tenures with the Drummondville Voltigeurs, Saint John Sea Dogs, Gatineau Flames, and St-Jérôme Panthers. His work has spanned over a decade of scouting major events, including QMJHL Entry Drafts, Challenges, and elite showcases across Quebec, the Maritimes, and the United States.

About the CSSHL
The Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) was established in 2009 and has grown to feature 38 accredited schools and 130 teams from British Columbia to Prince Edward Island and the states of Idaho and Washington. The league was designed specifically for elite level student athletes, giving them the opportunity to focus on their education while increasing their skills off and on the ice and providing them with a high level of competition and exposure. Currently, the CSSHL includes eight different divisions at the U15, U17, U18 Male and U18 Female level.
