Prairie Hockey Academy (2) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (4) U17 Prep

PMHA weren’t going to squander any similar opportunities on Sunday; they scored twice in the first, including one from Maddox Ramage, before they’d net another two early in the second. Ramage scored the fourth of the game, his fourth in two against Prairie over the weekend. PMHA soaked up some Prairie pressure from there, but the 4-0 lead was enough of a cushion. PHA struck twice later on, but couldn’t get any closer, and PMHA prevailed 4-2.
Calgary International Hockey Academy (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (1) U15
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg bested Calgary International Hockey Academy on Saturday by a 4-2 score, scoring the first three goals and fighting off any CIHA challenge that threatened their lead. However, on Sunday, it was CIHA’s start to the game that sent them down the road to victory. Within the first six minutes, CIHA scored on two different powerplay chances, with Mick Mantrop (1G, 1A) picking up a goal in his fourth consecutive game. Late in the first, an egregious error from RHAW led to an own goal on a delayed CIHA penalty. The own goal with 15 seconds left in the first was a punch to the gut of RHA Winnipeg, but over the last two periods, they outshot CIHA 39-9. RHAW grabbed one back, but Mason Filipchuk stood tall in between the pipes, making a whopping 63 saves on 64 shots in the 3-1 CIHA win.
North Shore Warriors (2) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (13) U18 Prep
The North Shore Warriors’ U18 Prep squad took the lead in the first period against RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna. Landon Kelly put them in front, holding their lead for a whole 85 seconds. Max Reed (3G, 2A) hit back to tie the game, the spark for RHAK’s goal scoring to spread like wildfire. They’d grab a 3-1 lead through one, and the snowball would only grow from there. RHAK hit the NSW net with 35 shots in the second period alone, eventually outshooting North Shore 70-23 through sixty minutes. By the time the game ended, RHAK prevailed 13-2, with five points apiece from Reed, Nate Macphee (3G, 2A), and Carson Smith (1G, 4A) leading the way to victory.
Notre Dame Hounds (1) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (4) U18 Prep
Calgary International Hockey Academy looked to bounce back after a loss to OHA Edmonton in the U18 Prep division on Saturday made it three losses in their last five games. Declan Cardiff, who had been snake bitten throughout the season so far, pulled out two goals in 17 seconds in the first period to send CIHA on their way, and for there, CIHA shut their own zone down. Ben Hakes made 17 stops on 18 shots, and while Notre Dame beat him once, CIHA picked up a 3-1 goal through Cohenn Rotar and a 4-1 goal through Aedan McCarry (1G, 1A) gave CIHA a cushion that wouldn’t see their lead threatened. CIHA’s 4-1 win was as much down to the defensive shutdown, only allowing Notre Dame to hit their net with 10 shots over the last forty minutes.

Wenatchee Wild Hockey (2) Academy vs St. George’s School (5) U17 Prep
St. George’s extended their winning streak to five games and completed a dominant weekend sweep of Wenatchee with a 5–2 victory, outshooting the Wild 46–22 and controlling nearly every phase of play. Coming off a 6–3 win the day before, St. George’s wasted no time as Holden Tuttle (2G, 1A) scored just 11 seconds in, then added his second midway through the first as part of a three-goal opening frame that put Wenatchee immediately on their heels. Despite the Wild entering the game still looking for their first win of the season, they showed resilience: Landon Ostrander (1G) converted on the power play and Lucas Chan (1G) brought his team back within one. But Wenatchee managed only eight shots the rest of the way, and none in the third, as St. George’s tightened the screws. Bradey Ching (1G) restored the two-goal lead late in the second on the man advantage, and Kyle Bowering (1G, 1A) added insurance early in the third to close out the win. After outshooting PCHA 23-3 and building a commanding 4–0 lead in the first, BWC looked poised for another runaway result following Saturday’s 6–1 victory. Chase Henderson (1G) opened the scoring 1:27 in, with Jackson Sponchia (1G), Brady Droulis (1G) and Owen Chapman (1G) piling on as PCHA struggled in the first. But PCHA, who entered the day 5–1–1 in their last seven, nearly flipped the game’s momentum in the second: Koen Nicholas (1G) struck 83 seconds in for jis 30th of the season, Tate Davis (1G, 1A) added another midway through the frame, and Finnegan Follick (1G) beat the buzzer on the power play to suddenly make it 5–3 after Alex Iaichkin (1G, 1A) had briefly restored BWC’s cushion. Despite a more competitive final 40 minutes, PCHA couldn’t break through again as BWC’s explosive first period ultimately secured the win.
STAR Hockey Academy (3) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep
STAR Hockey Academy capped off a perfect weekend against Pacific Coast Hockey Academy with a tight 3–2 win on Sunday, less than 24 hours after their 6–0 rout in the first half of the back-to-back. Despite being outshot 27–21 and spending long stretches killing penalties, including a four-minute kneeing call early in the third, STAR leaned on early offense to extend their record to 12-3-0-1. Braden Payne (1G, 1A) opened the scoring on the power play late in the first, and although PCHA responded 31 seconds into the second, STAR seized back momentum quickly when Zakhar Kovalenko (1G) buried one to make it 2–1 before minutes later STAR struck again to extend the lead to 3-1 going into the second intermission. PCHA, looking for redemption after yesterday’s blowout loss, clawed back with another power-play marker from Dexter Spring (2G) early in the third, but Erik Sims (25/27) shut the door the rest of the way with 25 saves. Despite a parade to the penalty box and zero shots recorded in the third period, STAR’s efficient finishing and timely goaltending proved enough to complete the weekend sweep over a PCHA squad that came in 6-4 over its last ten.
OHA Edmonton (4) vs Edge School (6) U18 Prep
Edge School answered back two days after falling 4–2 in Edmonton, taking the rematch 6–4 at home in a high-event special-teams battle that saw five power-play goals and two shorthanded markers. Edge, who came in undefeated at home, matched OHA chance-for-chance all afternoon and leaned on their top scorers to secure the win. Charlie Tobin (2G) set the tone just 37 seconds in. Lead by AJ Tarnowski (2G, 1A) OHA roared back early in the second with three goals in a 12-minute span. But Edge stabilized with a quick response from Tobin and a late power-play marker from Ashton McCann (2G) to reclaim a 4–3 lead after the second period. The third belonged to the Edge special teams: Finn Howes (1G) and Eric Wagman (1G, 1A) scored back-to-back power-play goals 28 seconds apart to stretch the advantage to 6–3. Momentum fully shifted late in the period as Ricky Deslauriers (1G, 4A) trimmed the deficit to two with a power-play goal, setting the stage for a third-period surge. Chumakov struck again 3:20 into the third, and Tucker Clare (1G, 1A) tied the game on another CIH power play with 11:30 remaining. Finally capping off the night 1:09 into overtime when Chumakov completed the hat trick on a power play. Despite Ocean Li’s (71/76) heroic 71-save performance in the loss, CIH’s 76-shot barrage and a perfect relief appearance from Jayden Pierre (18/18) powered the visitors to 7-1-1-0 on the season while handing the OHA their second straight defeat.
Shawnigan Lake School (1) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (6) U18 Prep
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy earned revenge for their 6–2 loss to Shawnigan in October, rolling to a dominant 6–1 win fueled by special teams and a statement night from their top scorers. PCHA struck twice in the opening frame, first from Kody Pham (1G) and then a late power-play marker from Roman Lavery (2G) before adding two more in the second as Kane Nicholas (1G, 1A) and Lavery built a 4–0 cushion. Shawnigan briefly halted the surge with a power-play goal, but that would be their lone breakthrough against Parker Parrish (33/34), who was sharp all afternoon. In the third, PCHA added two other a power-play markers to lock in the four-goal period split. Despite being outshot 34–30, Pacific Coast Hockey Academy controlled the game wire-to-wire, capitalizing four times on the power play and drawing repeated penalties as Shawnigan unraveled with 26 PIMs. The win not only evens the season series at 1–1 but also snaps PCHA’s mini skid, improving them to 6–2 at home.

Shawnigan opened the scoring 10:27 into the first when Cole Van Oene (1G) and the locals carried that 1–0 edge all the way into the third thanks to strong defending and good goaltending from Carter Burgi (34/37). PCHA took control of the momentum with 15 minutes left in the third when Brayden Lindsay (1G, 1A) tied it, sparking a dominant period in which they outshot Shawnigan 15–1. Rowan Hodgson (1G) gave PCHA their first lead of the game halfway through the third, and with Shawnigan unable to stay out of the box Cal McCall (1G) sealed the win with 32 seconds left in the empty net.
