CSSHL hires Sara Caissie as VP of Marketing & Communications.
November 12, 2025, 9:00AM PST – Sara Caissie has taken on the role of VP of Marketing & Communications with the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL).
“As we continue our commitment to be national leaders in education-based hockey, Sara’s expertise will help us shape the narrative of the CSSHL’s unique brand positioning,” said Chris Bell, Chief Business Officer of the CSSHL.
Sara Caissie, VP of Marketing & Communications, is responsible for creating, leading, and executing the marketing strategy for the CSSHL while driving brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement through a variety of marketing initiatives. Sara will report into Chris Bell, Chief Business Officer, and oversee the marketing team, leading key projects including the brand identity refresh and digital platform development.
“I’m incredibly excited to join the CSSHL at such a pivotal time for the league. There’s a tremendous opportunity to elevate how we tell our story, strengthen our connection with students and families, and support the continued growth of hockey development across North America. I’m looking forward to working with this talented team to build on the league’s momentum and help shape its next chapter,” added Caissie.
Sara brings 15+ years of marketing industry experience, with a variety of expertise leading global brands including Destination Canada & Nature’s Path Foods. She also led marketing & communications for the BC Sports Hall of Fame and launched the Digital Indigenous Sport Gallery. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from UBC, as well as a PMP designation. In her spare time, she volunteers on the Board of Directors with Hostelling International Canada and the West Coast Creative Society, and as an editor with the Starfish Canada. Based in Vancouver, you can find her cheering on the Vancouver Canucks every chance she gets.

About the CSSHL
The Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) was established in 2009 and has grown to feature 38 accredited schools and 129 teams from British Columbia to Prince Edward Island and the states of Idaho and Washington. The league was designed specifically for elite level student athletes, giving them the opportunity to focus on their education while increasing their skills off and on the ice and providing them with a high level of competition and exposure. Currently, the CSSHL includes eight different divisions at the U15, U17, U18 Male and U18 Female level.
