GAME DAY RECAP: November 28, 2025

Mount Academy (1) vs CIH Academy (4) East U17 Prep

CIH Academy earned their second straight win over Mount Academy with a 4-1 victory on Friday morning at Rockland CIHA Pad 1. After a scoreless opening frame, Jaxson Beauvais (1G) broke the deadlock shorthanded midway through the second before Fred Rivet (1G, 1A) doubled the lead on the power play off feeds from Greyson Peel (3A) and Daniel Fuchs (1G, 1A). Mount Academy responded early in the third as Maddeo Harris (1G) finished a setup from Darby Marshall (1A) and Owen Dunford (1A), but CIH quickly regained momentum when Vincent Larocque (1G) struck on another man-advantage with the assist from Peel, who capped off a three-assist performance. Timofey Vasilyev (40/41) stood tall with 40 saves to earn the win, while Mount’s Liam Welsh (45/48) kept his team within reach despite the loss.

Stanstead College (4) vs Okanagan Hockey Ontario (0) East U17 Prep

Stanstead College dominate on the road with a 4–0 win over Okanagan Hockey Ontario, beatin them for a second straight time this season after a 9–4 victory back in October. Stanstead came out flying with three first-period goals, including markers from Joshua Seeback (1G), Kristian Tlstovic (1G) and Taro Kosuga (1G), with top scorer Eliot Faucher (2A) once again driving the offense. Sean Dwyer (1G, 1A) added a power-play goal in the third to seal the result, extending his strong start to the season. The Spartans heavily outshot OHO 50–10 and went 3-for-5 on the man advantage, while Jacob Maddox (10/10) earned the shutout. OHO couldn’t generate offense and dropped their second straight game, despite a 46-save effort from Lohan Goolab (46/50). The win brings Stanstead back to .500 on the year.

Lower Canada College (5) vs Fort Erie International Academy (2) East U17 Prep

Lower Canada College bounced back in a big way with a 5-2 win over Fort Erie International Academy on Friday afternoon, powered by a hat trick from Mario Lapenna (3G). Lapenna struck twice in the first period, once at even strength and once on the power play and completed the hat trick late in the second to restore LCC’s two-goal cushion after Etienne Guo (1G, 1A) had pulled FEIA within one on a man-advantage. In the third, William Lynam (1G, 1A) added insurance before Emerick Girard (1G) responded for FEIA on the power play. LCC sealed the win with an empty netter from Matthew Boroff (1G) with 2 minutes left.

Edge School (5) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (2) Female U18 Prep

Edge School showed remarkable determination on Friday, overcoming an early deficit and the 5-1 loss from yesterday against RINK Hockey Academy to secure a 5-2 win. After RINK struck first less than a minute in, Edge rallied with a power-play goal from Sara Hettle (1G) and never looked back, adding three second-period goals, including shorthanded strikes from Avaya McCann (2G, 1A) and Samantha Baker (1G). Cassia Severin (1G, 3A) and McCann (2G, 1A) spearheaded the offensive effort. RINK Winnipeg managed to score twice, but Edge’s balanced attack and defensive poise proved decisive. With this victory, Edge gains confidence and halts a two-game skid, showing they can challenge one of the league’s top teams.

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (4) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (3) U15

Coming off three earlier wins over Prairie this season (8-1, 6-4, 4-3) RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg showed why they’ve been nearly unstoppable this season, edging Prairie Hockey Academy 4-3. From the outset, Caleb Church (1G, 1A) lit the spark with an early goal, and Brantley Church (2G) quickly followed with a pair, including the clutch third-period marker that would seal the win. The visitors weren’t going down without a fight, as Cauy Dubie (1G), David Osiowy (1G), and Deklan Street (1G) each found the net, threatening to pull off a comeback. But RINK Winnipeg’s Cooper Beardy (30/33) made 30 saves to ensured his team’s win.

Okanagan Hockey Academy (3) vs BWC Academy (2) U15 Prep

Okanagan Hockey Academy edged out BWC Academy 3-2 in a nail-biter on Friday, powered by Levi Thiessen (2G) who struck early in the first and second periods. BWC’s Kenzo Gibson (2G) answered with two shorthanded goals in the third, briefly tying the game, but Landon Ruck (1G) delivered the decisive marker late to secure the win. Oakley Speckman’s (46/48) 46-save, .958 save percentage performance kept OHA ahead despite being outshot 48-25 to help them win their third matchup against BWC this season.

OHA Edmonton (1) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) U15

Northern Alberta Xtreme stormed into Friday’s matchup looking to reclaim their edge in the season series against OHA Edmonton. They wasted no time establishing control in a 4–1 win. Kendon Peacock (1G) opened the scoring with a smooth finish before Dawson Buck (2G, 1A) erupted for a dominant performance, striking late in the first and again on the power play in the second to put NAX firmly in command. Dalton Sherwick (1G) added another layer of insurance with a slick second-period tally, turning every NAX rush into a threat despite being outshot 38–27. OHA Edmonton’s lone spark came early in the third when Max Holland (1G) buried a setup from Cohen Courchesne (1A) and Kingston Ireland (1A), but the comeback hopes faded quickly thanks to Jace Hilliard’s (37/38) 37-save showing. After splitting their previous four meetings in this latest chapter belonged entirely to the NAX, who dictate the pace the entire game and win at home.

Okanagan Hockey Academy (4) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (1) Female U18 Prep

Okanagan Hockey Academy Female U18 Prep came in trying to build on their last win, and they wasted absolutely no time proving they were the sharper squad in this all-OHA battle, scoring three times in the opening frame to set the tone in a 4–1 win over OHA Black, who entered riding a 2 game win streak of their own. Sayler Russell (1G), Elise Slywka (1G, 1A), and Audrina Freeman (1G, 1A) powered that explosive first period, each adding a goal. Despite OHA peppering 47 shots, it was a tight 3–1 game late until Sara Gerdel (1G) iced it on the power play, fitting on a night where they finally broke through on special teams after entering the matchup with a 9% powerplay. Meanwhile, OHA Black simply couldn’t generate much beyond Evan Colborne (1G), mustering just 13 shots against Maive Gosselin Berg (12/13). Even with Ryann Faulkner (43/47) standing tall for 43 saves, OHA Black’s lack of discipline in this one cost them.

Northern Alberta Xtreme (7) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (4) U15 Prep

Northern Alberta Xtreme stormed back from a shaky first period to bury RHA Winnipeg 7–4, turning a 3–1 deficit into a third-period explosion. After RHA struck three times early, from Easton Pitz (1G), Eli Wasylyk (1G), and Aiden Christie (1G), NAX finally answered late in the frame when Danel Ramazanov (1G) converted off a feed from Justin Castonguay (1G, 1A) and Jett Evans (1A). Momentum flipped for good in the second when Sebastian Morgan (1G) ripped one home, setting the stage for a five-goal avalanche in the third. Liam Bordt (1G, 1A) tied the game just 28 seconds in, followed by a go-ahead marker from Rylan Edwards (1G, 1A) set up from Emmett Abel (3A), who had a massive three-assist night. Castonguay added a power-play strike, Malakai Andrews (1G) tacked on another, and Keatyn Devlin (1G) sealed it in the empty net in the final minute. RINK Winnipeg got one late from Declan Champagne (1G), but NAX’s relentless push, supported by Abel (3A) and Logan Schoettler (2A) completed a massive comeback to earn a statement win.

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) vs North Shore Warriors (1) U17

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy tightened their grip on the season series with a 3–1 win over North Shore, completing a three-game sweep after earlier victories of 5–0 and 5–2. The tone was set early when Brayden Lindsay (1G) stunned North Shore with a shorthanded strike in the final minute of the first, a momentum punch that they couldn’t fully shake. Easton Fowler (1G) briefly revived his team just 22 seconds into the third, finishing a setup from Ashur Livingstone (1A), but PCHA answered with poise as Jason Thomson (1G) restored the lead and Sebastian Quast (1G) buried insurance minutes later. Despite being outshot 64–23, North Shore hung around thanks to a heroic 61-save effort from Ben Boudreau (61/64), while PCHA’s Oliver Boniface (22/24) quietly steered aside 22 shots to secure the win. The result snaps PCHA’s brief two-game skid and extends North Shore’s struggles to four straight losses.

Delta Hockey Academy (6) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep

The U17 Prep clash between Delta Hockey Academy and Pacific Coast Hockey Academy remained a razor-thin affair through forty minutes of play. Casey Pearson (4G) scored to tie the game 2-2 with less than three and a half minutes to play in the second period, and once the third period hit, the Delta squad that at one point trailed 2-0 ran away with the game. After his goal late in the second, it took Pearson less than ninety seconds of the third period to give Delta their first lead of the game, and he wouldn’t stop there. Colton Brum (3A) set up Pearson for his hat-trick goal before Pearson sealed it into the empty net with his fourth goal of the game.

Notre Dame Hounds (1) vs Edge School (10) U15 Prep

It was a close game through one period. It was a close game through two periods. But once the puck dropped for the third, Edge School’s U15 Prep squad took the game from the Notre Dame Hounds and very quickly took it very far away from Notre Dame’s hands. The one-goal lead through one and the two-goal lead through two periods for Edge School was blown open in the third. Matteo Dufour scored a hat-trick in the third period alone, and three assists from Brody Antignani brought his season totals to 37 points in 14 games.

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (6) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) U17 Prep

Nearly twenty minutes of scoreless hockey in the first period of Friday’s U17 Prep game between RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg and the Northern Alberta Xtreme unfolded prior to Eli Piquette’s late strike, giving NAX the lead, but in the twenty minutes following, the nature of the game flipped entirely. The second period saw six goals hit the back of the net, with NAX’s lead not only dissolving, but flipping around. RHA Winnipeg led 4-3 through two, and come the third, Conner Lamb (2G) and Murphy Johnston (2G) would both score their second goals of the game early. The lead was too wide for NAX to make up with RHAW’s Brady Robert (33/37), holding strong with nine stops in the third period.

Bishop’s College School (10) vs CIH Academy (2) East U18 Prep

Bishop’s College School started the game in the same manner they’d continue to play throughout: dominant and successful in besting CIH Academy. BCS scored three in less than three minutes early in the first period, and even then, the first was the most evenly-matched of the game. BCS finished the game with ten goals on 67 shots, led by Mavrik Legault’s (3G, 1A) hat trick and four points from Bastien Michaud (1G, 3A). Despite Bishop’s offensive control, Emerson Tebay (39/41) still had a busy night in between the pipes, staying strong to keep Bishop’s well in front.

Delta Hockey Academy (0) vs Yale Hockey Academy (4) U15 Prep

Yale Hockey Academy controlled the first period of their Friday evening clash with Delta, but from there on out, Delta outshot Yale 28-22 over the last two periods. Yale’s offensive dominance in the U15 Prep division have been winning them hockey games, but in this one, Yale’s goaltender Gavin Craig was the big difference. He made 32 saves on 32 shots in the game, and Yale’s inevitable offensive firepower rewarded him. Connor Baines (2G, 1A) and Teagan Dernisky (1G, 2A) scored three points each in Yale’s shutout victory.

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (9) vs Shawnigan Lake School (1) Female U18 Prep

Shawnigan Lake School’s Female U18 Prep squad scored the first goal of the game against RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna. Just past the eight and a half minute mark, SLS led, and led for five minutes and four seconds of the hockey game. That was until Alida Korte (4G, 1A) scored on a penalty shot to tie the game up, before scoring again less than five minutes later to give RHAK a 2-1 lead. Close game to the break, but with the score 2-1 at the start of the second period, RHAK took the game and ran away with it. Korte scored two more, added to by Kennedy Sisson’s fourteenth goal of the season and four assists from Raeya Mackie.

St. George’s School (4) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (6) U15

St. George’s School scored three in the first period, but save for that, RHA Kelowna controlled the U15 clash. SGS managed to take a 3-1 lead into the end of the second period, but RHAK’s offensive domination eventually broke through in the form of five consecutive goals. Landen Gray (1G, 2A) led the way with three points.

South Alberta Hockey Academy (13) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (0) Female U18 Prep

The winner of the game was pretty much settled in 122 seconds of Friday’s clash between South Alberta Hockey Academy and Pilot Mound Hockey Academy’s Female U18 Prep squads. SAHA scored three in the first 2:02 of the game, and didn’t stop there. Six SAHA players scored three points each, with Taye Baker (2G, 1A), Teylor Crocker (2G, 1A), Maria Facca (2G, 1A), Sara Murdoch (1G, 2A), Kapri Coston (1G, 2A), and Riley Bourque (3A) leading the way to SAHA’s massive victory.

Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (5) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (6/SO) U18 Prep

The U18 Prep clash between Pilot Mound Hockey Academy and RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg swung in both directions. RHAW led 2-0 and 5-3 at different points in the game, but PMHA’s top guns came out firing. Knox Burton (2G, 2A) and Collin Friedrich (2G, 2A) scored late in the third to drag the game to overtime, and in the same way the sixty-five minutes played out, the shootout was a back-and-forth thriller. Atticus Cruz (1G) eventually delivered the knockout punch in round six for RHAW’s 6-5 win.

OHA Edmonton (5) vs Notre Dame Hounds (2) U18 Prep

After Ben Shaw’s (2G, 1A) shorthanded goal in the first period gave OHA Edmonton’s U18 Prep team the lead, Notre Dame could only catch up to but not surpass OHAE. Shaw’s goal late in the second made it 3-2 OHAE, and his team would score two more in the third. Jihwan Kim scored his first goal of the season in the third to provide insurance, and Brayden Tucker (1G, 1A) snapped his five-game goal slump.

OHA Edmonton (5) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (2) Female U18 Prep

Two statistics are key to consider in the Female U18 Prep clash between OHA Edmonton and the Northern Alberta Xtreme. Obviously, the statistic that matters most is the scoreline, with OHAE winning 3-0 by the time the sixty minutes ceased. If you’re trying to further discern, though, the way the game unfolded, the scoreline is not nearly as indicative as the shots on goal. A 3-0 final score doesn’t indicate the lopsided game the way the 54-7 shots on goal margin in OHAE’s favour does. All in all, the most credit is deserved by the losing goaltender, with NAX’s Ayla Whitney making 51 saves. On the other side, Emma Skolney needed to go just 7/7 for the shutout win.

Prairie Hockey Academy (4) vs Edge School (6) U17

Prairie Hockey Academy and Edge School’s U17 clash Friday evening unfolded like a see-saw teetering in both directions, with both PHA and Edge dominating different parts of the game. At the end of the day, though, Edge made better on their stretch of control. PHA controlled the first, leading 3-1 through one, but Edge School scored four straight goals after that. Kayden Bartole (2G, 2A) and Easton Armstrong (1G, 2A) led the way in Edge School’s eventual 6-4 win.

Notre Dame Hounds (1) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep

The U17 Prep clash between the Notre Dame Hounds and South Alberta Hockey Academy started quick thanks to SAHA’s top dog. Victoria Royals prospect Carter Gilchrist had a four-goal game last weekend, with his goal early in the first now making it six in his last four games and sending SAHA on their way. Brendan Espersen scored later in the first to make it 2-0, and Notre Dame couldn’t make their way back. Paxton Smigelski’s 18 saves on 19 shots were essential in SAHA’s victory.

St. George’s School (2) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (9) U18 Prep

Okanagan Hockey Academy’s U18 Prep squad poured the pressure on the St. George’s School net throughout, but through forty minutes, SGS stayed right in the game. OHA led 3-1 through one before St. George’s hit back to make it 3-2. That was temporary, OHA took a 4-2 lead, and come the third period, the floodgates opened. Maxx Parfitt (2G, 2A), Eli Tverdovsky (1G, 2A), and Luke Edgehouse (5A) cashed in huge as OHA scored five third-period goals en route to a 9-2 win.

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4) vs Shawnigan Lake School (0) U15 Prep

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna dominated Shawnigan Lake School in the first period, outshooting their opponents 16-3, and unfortunately for Shawnigan Lake, they could never catch up to the head start RHAK built early on. Jaxon Lodge (1G, 1A), Ben Tyssen (2A), and Berkeley Reid (2A) cashed in with multi-point efforts, and Max Davis picked up a 29-save shutout for RINK’s 4-0 win.

Yale Hockey Academy (4) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (6) U18 Prep

Yale Hockey Academy and RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna’s U18 Prep clash was an extremely evenly-matched game, but ultimately, two players made the difference in the game in RHAK’s favour. The back-and-forth game was settled by three straight RHAK goals in the midst of proceedings, with Ryan Sadovia (2G) scoring two early in the third to add to Carson Smith’s (G) hat-trick in RHAK’s 6-4 win.
